More specifically, I was sitting outside on a patio in Santa Monica with a view of the ocean. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.usa.gov\/roller\/govgab\/resource\/images\/plow.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>   This week? Well, things have been a hazy shade of winter. In case you haven&#8217;t heard, DC has had a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.weather.gov\/\" > &quot;little&quot; snow<\/a> the past few days. The masses are beginning to get some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ireport.com\/map?topicId=347420&amp;center=39.061849,-77.156982&amp;zoom=8&amp;mapType=terrain&amp;hpt=Sbin\" >serious cabin fever<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>   While it&#8217;s normal to feel restless while cooped up, for some people it is more than a case of the winter blues.<\/p>\n<p>   <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.com\/health\/seasonal-affective-disorder\/DS00195\" >Season Affective Disorder (SAD)<\/a> is when lack of exposure to sunshine and not enough <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/news\/healthbeat\/2008\/01\/20080108a.html\" >vitamin D<\/a> cause people to get depressed and unhealthily sluggish.<\/p>\n<p>   Treatments are available, and if you&#8217;re feeling exceptionally bummed during this time of year you should consult your doctor.
