FDA still can’t get it right on BPA<\/p>\n

<\/b>The FDA claims they’re finally concerned about a toxic chemical added to our plastics…they’re just not concerned enough to actually do anything about it. <\/p>\n

What’d you expect, real action? <\/p>\n

BPA, or bisphenol A, is an estrogen-like chemical used in plastics and cans, and it’s turning us into a nation of flabby, weepy, impotent pansies. It’s been linked to sexual problems, some forms of cancer, obesity, diabetes, early puberty and more…and most Americans are exposed to it on a daily basis. <\/p>\n

But instead of banning this junk outright, the FDA has played blind, deaf, dumb and stupid — pointing to bogus safety studies provided by the chemical industry that makes BPA. <\/p>\n

You can’t make this stuff up. <\/p>\n

But now that they’re "concerned," they’re still far more interested in buying time for their industry friends than protecting you from a dangerous hormone boost. They say they’re waiting for the results of a big BPA study being conducted by the National Institutes of Health, due in two years. <\/p>\n

Are these jokers for real? There have been more studies on this than I can count — and pretty much all of them point in the same direction: BPA is bad news. <\/p>\n

So don’t wait for the feds, take it from me: Limit your exposure, starting now. Avoid anything that comes in a can or plastic bottle — you shouldn’t be eating or drinking the crap inside these things anyway. <\/p>\n

Use quality glass cookware and real, fresh foods and you’ll minimize your exposure — and your risk. <\/p>\n

And for goodness sake, keep this junk far from your kids. Most baby bottles are now BPA-free, but you can’t thank the feds for that. Parents threatened a boycott and state lawmakers threatened their own action. Meanwhile, Canada banned BPA in baby bottles outright. <\/p>\n

That’s how you get things done — hit ’em in the wallet. <\/p>\n
