\"\"DES PLAINES — Authorities say two women have been injured in a crash involving a car and a Metra commuter train in the northwestern Chicago suburb of Des Plaines.<\/p>\n

Metra spokesman Michael Gillis says a northwest bound Metra train heading to Crystal Lake collided with the car just after 8 p.m. Tuesday as the train was pulling up to the Des Plaines commuter station.<\/p>\n

The two women in the car were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where their condition was not immediately known.<\/p>\n

The accident caused major delays on the Metra line to Crystal Lake.<\/p>\n
