It looks like Yahoo’s revolving door recently spun around yet again.  A senior vice president of communications and community properties has left the company, and another man’s joined it and been given the title "Vice President of Corporate Development."<\/p>\n

\"ScottScott Dietzen is the (former) SVP who found the exit.  Before getting picked up by Yahoo, he was the president and CTO of Zimbra.  Dietzen also received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University, so his departure is far from insignificant.<\/p>\n

The one bright spot from Yahoo’s perspective is that, rather than immediately join Google or Microsoft, Dietzen said during an rPath interview<\/a> that he’s just taking an open-ended sabbatical.<\/p>\n

As for the new hire, his name is Andrew Siegel.  Kara Swisher<\/a> reports that he’ll be in charge of mergers and acquisitions.  Siegel used to work for General Electric, and also spent some time at Merrill Lynch.  He attended Syracuse University and the New York University School of Law.<\/p>\n

It’s reasonable to assume that Yahoo has a lot of confidence in Siegel’s abilities, considering how many properties the company is reportedly trying to sell.  There’s the pending deal with Microsoft to consider, too.<\/p>\n
