Home Depot in Germantown, MD was so concerned about the weight of the snow, that they had a crew of 20 men clearing off the roof. Workers had to climb up steel ladders 50 feet in the air with shovels in hand for the tough task ahead. Crews would shovel the snow onto tarps and then drag the tarps over to the side of the building to dump off their loads.<\/p>\n<p>Flat roofs have been known to buckle under the weight of the snow. This weekend, the DC region has seen collapsed roofs at churches, homes and fire stations.
