While most of us use the conventional polluting and noisy means for the job, designers over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.studiovolpi.com\/newsletter_02\/reddot.html\">Studio Volpi<\/a> have won a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red-dot.sg\/concept\/porfolio\/o_e\/DA\/R055.htm\">Red Dot Design Award<\/a> for a completely silent and green lawnmower they call the &#8220;Solar Electric Lawnmower.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/02\/11\/solar-electric-lawnmower_2_XJrdY_69.jpg\" alt=\"solar electric lawnmower_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The lawnmower, which looks more like a concept car, features an onboard polymer ion battery that is recharged by solar panels.
