Morgan Securities as exclusive financial adviser.<\/p>\n<p>Howard Wenger, president of SunPower&#8217;s utilities and power plants business group, said<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>SunRay has a proven track record of developing bankable solar power plants in a complex environment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>SunRay\u2019s pipeline includes projects at different stages of development in Italy, France, Israel, Spain, the United Kingdom and Greece. Denham Capital made an initial commitment of $200 million to the company, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunrayrenewable.com\/\">according to its Web site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SunPower has been <a href=\"http:\/\/greenenergyreporter.com\/2009\/07\/sunpower-taps-gian-maria-ferrero-to-oversee-europe-middle-east-and-africa-business\/\">increasing its presence in Europe<\/a> in recent years, with more than 200<\/p>\n<p>Megawatts of solar power plants operating there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/GreenEnergyReporter\/~4\/fusxgBP8qoM\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SunPower Corp. has announced an agreement to acquire SunRay Renewable Energy, a Malta-based solar power plant developer, and its project pipeline of photvoltaic projects of 1,200 megawatts, for about $277 million.
