She\u2019s faster than you are, smoother than you could ever hope to be and probably easier on the eyes.  She also came damn close to breaking the ten minute barrier on the \u2018ring in a Ford Transit van.  No, that\u2019s not a misprint; I did say Ford Transit van.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-36818\"><\/span><object width=\"480\" height=\"295\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/5KiC03_wVjc&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;rel=0\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/5KiC03_wVjc&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;rel=0\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"480\" height=\"295\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>The N\u00fcrburgring is actually a public road, and anyone with the cost of admission (currently 16 Euros, or about $22) can drive a lap at speed.  Don\u2019t want to void your rental car contract?  Afraid of how you\u2019d explain wadding that E class Mercedes to Eurocar?  That&#8217;s where the Ring Taxi comes in.  At 195 Euros per car (about $266), it isn\u2019t cheap and seats book a year or so in advance.
