Given the state of NBA inactive lists, it couldn&#8217;t be coming at a better time. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"8\" src=\"http:\/\/a323.yahoofs.com\/ymg\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts__24\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts-832035533-1265936207.jpg?ymPtjqCDVNCbxH7B\" \/><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3327\/\">Lamar Odom&#8217;s<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3327\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3327\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> success as a starter [<a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3327\/splits\">splits<\/a>] and <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3936\/\">Andrew Bynum&#8217;s<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3936\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3936\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> continued inconsistencies (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/la-sp-lakers-fyi11-2010feb11,0,7750415.story\">injuries<\/a>) [<a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3936\/splits\">splits<\/a>] have led to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/sports\/odom-233745-bynum-salt.html\">talk of Odom replacing Bynum in the starting lineup<\/a> among the team&#8217;s coaching staff. Here&#8217;s what Phil Jackson had to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&quot;My coaches are kind of pushing me in that direction, but I&rsquo;m not ready<br \/>\nyet to do that. We won last year with Andrew when he<br \/>\ncame back at the end of the season, going out there and playing the<br \/>\nfirst quarter and starting the games. Even though he wasn&rsquo;t 100 percent<br \/>\nwhen came back off his injury last year, he still gave us a lot; he<br \/>\ngives us a big front. So I have to measure that and see what&rsquo;s going to<br \/>\nhappen with this team in the next couple weeks.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bynum&#8217;s psyche and overall team chemistry are the major considerations at stake here, and Jackson&#8217;s response seems to address both of those concerns. It should surprise no one if the change is not made, particularly with Odom completely deferential on the subject, but what we could eventually see if Bynum playing a few less minutes (with Odom playing a bit more) if\/when this team has everyone healthy &#8230; As for <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3118\/\">Kobe Bryant<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3118\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3118\">(notes)<\/a>,<\/span> his ankle is still giving him enough issues that he&#8217;s already been ruled <a href=\"http:\/\/lakers.freedomblogging.com\/2010\/02\/11\/kobe-out-of-all-star-game\/30355\/\">out of the All-Star game<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3407\/\">Jamal Crawford<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3407\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3407\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/sports\/atlanta-hawks\/heat-reserves-send-hawks-297465.html\">a late scratch<\/a> Wednesday because of a sore left shoulder, apparently the result of <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/news?slug=ap-hawks-injuries&amp;prov=ap&amp;type=lgns\">a poor sleeping position<\/a> on Tuesday night. With Crawford out, <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3245\/\">Mike Bibby<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3245\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3245\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> saw the most playing time he&#8217;s seen in six weeks (35 minutes, 12 points, 6 assists, 2 turnovers, 3 steals), but the Hawks bench scored only eight points total and the team lost to the Heat 94-76. <\/p>\n<p><a name=\"remaining-content\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3971\/\">Louis Williams<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3971\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3971\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> scored 26 points Wednesday (27 minutes, 2 threes, 5 boards), the most he&#8217;s scored in a game since returning from his broken jaw. Over the past five games, he&#8217;s averaged 15.2 points, 1.2 threes, 5.4 free throws (89%), 3.2 assists, 1.8 turnovers, and 1.6 steals in 27 minutes. In 21 games since January 1, he&#8217;s made just 32 percent of his shots attempts, although the counting numbers have been solid (13.1 points, 1.5 threes, 3.2 boards, 6.4 assists, 2.2 turnovers, 1.6 steals). For those Jennings owners out there &#8211; how many of you are regretting passing up on some great trade offer at the end of November, and how many of you are regretting making an offer at that point that was actually accepted? <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"8\" src=\"http:\/\/a323.yahoofs.com\/ymg\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts__24\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts-492277544-1265936224.jpg?ymgtjqCDGmgFeQti\" \/><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3822\/\">Devin Harris<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3822\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3822\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> was solid in this most recent blowout loss, going for a season-high 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting, while making 8-of-10 free throws and adding nine assists, five turnoves, 1 three and one steal in 35 minutes. Whether or not he can get and stay healthy and productive in the season&#8217;s second half still seems to be a 50-50 proposition, at best. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4626\/\">Darren Collison<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4626\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4626\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> recorded a double-double in a bad way Wednesday, scoring 25 points but totaling 10 turnovers. He technically just missed a triple-double, as he had nine assists, and another good was that he snagged four steals for the second consecutive games. He&#8217;s now up to 15 starts on the season, during which he&#8217;s averaged 16.9 points, 0.9 threes, 3.3 boards, 7.9 assists, 3.9 turnovers, and 1.3 steals in 36 minutes &#8230; As for <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3930\/\">Chris Paul<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3930\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3930\">(notes)<\/a>,<\/span> he&#8217;s looking forward to making a playoff push <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/news?slug=ap-hornets-paul&amp;prov=ap&amp;type=lgns\">when he comes back<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3253\/\">Paul Pierce<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3253\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3253\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> continues to play through pain in his left foot (4-of-11 FG, 8 turnovers Wednesday), and it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonherald.com\/sports\/basketball\/celtics\/view.bg?articleid=1232129&amp;srvc=rss&amp;utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+bostonherald%2Fsports%2Fbasketball%2Fceltics+%28Boston+Celtics+-+Celtics+%26+NBA+-+BostonHerald.com%29\">hasn&#8217;t changed his plans<\/a><br \/>\nfor All-Star weekend, where he&#8217;s slated to participate in the 3-point<br \/>\nshootout and Sunday&#8217;s game &#8230; <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3080\/\">Ray Allen<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3080\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3080\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> missed Wednesday&#8217;s game with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonherald.com\/sports\/basketball\/celtics\/view\/20100210ray_allen_out_with_back_spasms\/\">back spasms<\/a>, but it&#8217;s not expected to be a long-term issue at this point.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3931\/\">Raymond Felton<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3931\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3931\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> missed Wednesday&#8217;s game because of a nagging <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/news?slug=ap-bobcats-feltonout&amp;prov=ap&amp;type=lgns\">ankle sprain<\/a>, clearing the way for <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4471\/\">D.J. Mohammed averaged 13.1 points on 64-percent shooting, 10.9 boards, and 0.9 blocks in 28 minutes over the Bobcats past seven games, but is going to give way to <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3512\/\">Tyson Chandler<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3512\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3512\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> now that he&#8217;s back from his foot injury. Despite Mohammed&#8217;s recent success, this situation has timeshare written all over it. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull; <\/strong>Johnny Flynn has been seeing playing time in the 20&#8217;s more than in the 30&#8217;s of late, including Wednesday, when he didn&#8217;t leave the bench <a href=\"http:\/\/popcornmachine.net\/cgi-bin\/gameflow.cgi?date=20100210&amp;game=CHAMIN\">in the fourth quarter<\/a> and finished with 22 minutes (9 points, 1 three, 4 assists, 1 turnover). <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4333\/\">Ramon Sessions<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4333\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4333\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> saw 26 minutes of playing time, including the entire fourth quarter, and finished with 13 points, five assists, and two turnovers. Over the past eight games, Flynn has averaged 11.1 points on 38-percent shooting, 1 three, 5.3 assists, 2.4 turnovers, and 0.6 steals in 26 minutes.
