Hello Viewers, <\/p>\n

Your help is needed to ensure that new legislation affecting chemical regulation will reduce and replace animal testing.<\/p>\n

Please take a moment to send an e-mail<\/strong><\/a> to your legislator who is playing an instrumental role in Congress’ revision of the Toxic Substances Control Act. Members of Congress could help prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands of animals in chemical tests by including language that PCRM and other animal protection organizations submitted to their colleagues’ offices. This language will modernize toxicity testing to include new high-tech cellular and computational methods.<\/p>\n

For chemical regulation to be effective, it must not rely on outdated animal tests. In fact, there are so many chemicals to test that nonanimal methods are the only way to ensure they are all assessed before the middle of the next century! <\/p>\n

Please send a polite e-mail to your congressional representative<\/strong><\/a> asking him or her to ensure that any new legislation offers true public health protection and relies on human-relevant, nonanimal methods for toxicity testing. <\/p>\n
