They also are ideal for “jigless” applications where one robot positions the part for processing by other robots or two robots handle a single large part.

Featuring hefty 350-, 500- and 600-kg (771.8-, 1,102.5-, 1,323-lb) payloads respectively, reliable HP350D, HP500D and HP600D robots provide full six-axis capability with parallel-link construction for strength, rigidity and stabilization of high moment/inertia loads. Heavy-duty bearings provide smooth arm rotation.

These three floor-mounted HP-series models all feature 2,542 mm (100.1″) horizontal reach and 2,761 mm (108.7″) vertical reach with ±0.5 mm (±0.02”) repeatability. Their large work envelopes accommodate a wide range of big, heavy parts. Streamlined design allows these robots to reach into confined spaces, improving system productivity. Fast axial speeds and acceleration reduce cycle times and increase production output. These HP-series models include an IP67-rated wrist.

The HP350D, HP500D and HP600D robots use Motoman’s dynamic, next-generation DX100 controller that includes patented multiple robot control technology to easily handle multiple tasks and control up to eight robots (72 axes), I/O devices, and communication protocols. Featuring a robust PC architecture with unmatched memory capacity, the DX100 uses a Windows® CE programming pendant with color touch screen. The energy-saving DX100 controller features faster processing speeds for smoother interpolation, advanced robot arm motion, built-in collision avoidance, quicker I/O response, and accelerated Ethernet communication. Its extensive I/O suite includes integral PLC and HMI pendant displays, 2,048 I/O and a graphical ladder editor that can provide system level control. The DX100 controller supports all major fieldbus networks. It is compliant to ANSI/RIA 15.06-1999 and other relevant ISO and CSA safety standards.

www.motoman.com

Dayton, Ohio — Motoman’s high-performance HP-series robots with next-generation DX100 robot and system-level controller include powerful, flexible models for heavy-payload (350-600 kg) applications, including material handling, machine tending, and die cast/investment casting.
