{"id":315320,"date":"2010-02-12T20:22:01","date_gmt":"2010-02-13T01:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c630a53ef01287797a342970c"},"modified":"2010-02-12T20:22:01","modified_gmt":"2010-02-13T01:22:01","slug":"yorkshire-terrier-is-stolen-after-auto-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/315320","title":{"rendered":"Yorkshire terrier is stolen after auto accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    Riverside County sheriff\u2019s deputies are looking for a man who used a violent car accident as an opportunity to steal a family\u2019s dog. <\/p>\n<p>As paramedics removed a 24-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son from the car, which had smashed into a median and landed upside down in the Highgrove area, their frightened Yorkshire terrier, Rizzo, ran out through a broken window, said Sgt. Dave Lelevier. <\/p>\n<p>Two onlookers and several children chased the 3-year-old dog and were returning with him to the crash scene when a man grabbed Rizzo. <\/p>\n<p>He \u201ctold them in Spanish that he would return the dog to the owner,\u201d Lelevier said.<br \/>\nBut he ran away with the dog.\n<\/p>\n<p>Lelevier said the mother and child were treated and released from a hospital with minor injuries, but were upset to find out that their family pet had been stolen. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as Latino, about 5 feet 11 and weighing about 180 pounds.
