{"id":316196,"date":"2010-02-13T14:09:41","date_gmt":"2010-02-13T19:09:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com\/?p=11430"},"modified":"2010-02-13T14:09:41","modified_gmt":"2010-02-13T19:09:41","slug":"new-recall-for-toyota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/316196","title":{"rendered":"New Recall for Toyota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has a stern warning for Toyota about its recent recalls.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I want the American people and I want people who drive Toyotas to know that we&#8217;re gonna hold Toyota&#8217;s feet to the fire on this.\u00a0 This is very serious, we take it very seriously,&#8221; he said while in Bloomington, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On Friday, Toyota recalled about 8,000 of its 2010 Tacoma 4WD trucks so they can take a better look at the front drive shaft.\u00a0 That makes a dozen models that Toyota has recently recalled for repairs, some dating back to 2004.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A House committee was supposed to have a hearing called, &#8220;Toyota Gas Pedals: Is the Public at Risk?&#8221; this week.\u00a0 That hearing got snowed out but it&#8217;s rescheduled for later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of lawsuits have already been filed against the carmaker.\u00a0 That&#8217;s including two filed Friday that\u00a0claim uncontrollable acceleration in a Prius and a Camry ended in the deaths of two people in Nebraska and Mississippi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has a stern warning for Toyota about its recent recalls. &#8220;I want the American people and I want people who drive Toyotas to know that we&#8217;re gonna hold Toyota&#8217;s feet to the fire on this.\u00a0 This is very serious, we take it very seriously,&#8221; he said while in Bloomington, Illinois.
