As it approached, astronauts onboard the now nearly-complete station snapped <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/multimedia\/imagegallery\/image_feature_1592.html\">this dramatic photo<\/a> of the Orbiter:<\/p>\n<p><center><a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/multimedia\/imagegallery\/image_feature_1592.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovermagazine.com\/badastronomy\/files\/2010\/02\/sunset_shuttle.jpg\" alt=\"sunset_shuttle\" title=\"sunset_shuttle\" width=\"610\" height=\"458\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11534\"\/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Stunning. And while I am a scientist and a realist, I can&#8217;t help but see the poetic and metaphoric nature of this shot.
