Acer’s updated its Android range of phones<\/a> with the Liquid e<\/a>, running Android 2.1<\/a> and built using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 768 MHz processor, so isn’t quite as zappy as some others we’ve seen recently.<\/p>\n

While we don’t have images of the Liquid e yet (seen above is the previous Liquid model), it has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen is a WVGA job, the camera is a 5.0-megapixel sensor with autofocus; and there’s Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSDPA\/HSUPA on the wireless side.<\/p>\n

Internally, the ROM is 512MB (with a microSD slot), RAM is 256MB and an accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor all feature. Full release and specs below, with pricing and availability not yet known. Acer’s not exactly known for its smartphones, but this Liquid e sounds like quite a step-up from the first Liquid which we saw last year.<\/p>\n
