Richie is engaged to marry longtime boyfriend Joel Madden.<\/p>\n<p>The former reality starlet and Hollywood socialite reportedly announced news of her upcoming wedding to the Good Charlotte rocker during an appearance on <em>The Late Show with David Letterman<\/em> on Monday night, according to E! News.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Joel-Madden-Nicole-Richie-Family-Portrait1-500x377.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Joel Madden Nicole Richie Family Portrait\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-83547\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Yep. I&#8217;m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we&#8217;ve been engaged for a while so you&#8217;re all kind of late on that. But, thanks for the hoopla all the same,&#8221;<\/em> Joel said in a post to his Twitter page on Monday. He has since removed the message.<\/p>\n<p>The episode, taped on Monday, is expected to air on <em>Letterman<\/em> this Friday.
