{"id":326906,"date":"2010-02-16T13:22:40","date_gmt":"2010-02-16T18:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/press-releases\/vandals-deface-wall-of-gold-coast-coach-house"},"modified":"2010-02-16T13:22:40","modified_gmt":"2010-02-16T18:22:40","slug":"vandals-deface-wall-of-gold-coast-coach-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/326906","title":{"rendered":"Vandals Deface Wall Of Gold Coast Coach House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CHICAGO\u00a0(CBS)\u00a0 &#8212; Some graffiti vandals have turned the wall of a coach-house into a canvas for their words and pictures.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe vandals left their graffiti on a 50-foot wall on a coach house near Clark Street and Chicago Avenue in the swanky Gold Coast early Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe coach house in the 900 block of North Clark Street and its adjacent home have been under a multi-million dollar renovation for the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>\nBut at some point early Monday morning, vandals tore down a protective tarp and began spray-painting the brick wall, the Chicago Tribune reported. The vandals wrote what appears to read, &#8220;Mole Nine&#8221; in black and white bubble letters with what appears to be a dead body representing the &#8220;I&#8221; in nine, and two other monikers in smaller text \u2013 &#8220;hard 2 overcome&#8221; and &#8220;how 2 operate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\nThe vandals even spray-painted the port-a-potty on the site.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe brick work will have to be sandblasted to restore its original color.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe house was built in the early 20th century as a ComEd substation, but two stories were later added to make it into a house, the Tribune reported.
