A male African elephant was born about 2 a.m. Sunday at the
\nzoo\u2019s Wild Animal Park.<\/p>\n
He and his mother Ndlula are reportedly doing well. Visitors
\ncamping overnight at the zoo could hear the herd trumpeting in the early morning — a common
\nbehavior when a calf is born, according to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n
The elephant, which hasn\u2019t been given a name yet, is the
\nsixth calf born to a herd that was brought to the park in 2003 from Swaziland.<\/p>\n
