Prior to that Ken worked as IEA Vice President, and at the local and regional levels within IEA.  Ken provides a voice and important insights at the national level as well while serving on NEA committees.  He has been recognized as a grant recipient for classroom endeavors and recently received the \u201cChampion of Freedom\u201d award from Rainbow PUSH\/Excel.
