Increases Total Viewing and Demo Advantages Over CBS Week-to-Week and Year-to-Year<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For the week of February 8th, \u201cABC World News with Diane Sawyer\u201d averaged 9.24 million Total Viewers and a 2.3\/8 among Adults 25-54 according to Nielsen Media Research. This marks \u201cWorld News\u201d best delivery among Adults 25-54 in over a year and highest Total Viewer delivery in over a month.  <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to the previous year, \u201cWorld News\u201d increased its Total Viewing audience by 13% (+1,080,000) and its Adults 25-54 audience by 12% (+300,000). \u201cWorld News\u201d closed the demo gap (660,000) with \u201cNBC Nightly News\u201d by 4% year-to-year. Additionally, \u201cWorld News\u201d was up 15% in the demo rating and 8% in Total Viewers week-to-week. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Year-to-year, \u201cWorld News\u201d Total Viewing and demo leads over \u201cCBS Evening News\u201d grew 46% and 36% respectively.  For the week, more than two million Total Viewers and 570,000 Adults 25-54 separated ABC and CBS.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week \u201cWorld News\u201d featured reporting on the major east coast blizzards. ABC News was the first to report that former President Bill Clinton had been hospitalized and \u201cWorld News\u201d followed the story with reporting from Senior Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Besser and Chief Political Correspondent George Stephanopoulos. "World News" also featured coverage of the major offensive launched in Afghanistan with Miguel Marquez reporting from there.  <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
