Available this April, the DSC-TX5 is far different than its\u00a0brethren\u00a0TX1\/TX7 by offering unique functionalities never seen before in any other modern Sony camera. While this seems like just another ultra slim point and shoot, its waterproof up to ten feet for a hour, freeze-proof to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, and completely dust-proof. All the usual features found in the TX7 are also found in this robust TX5: 4x optical zoom, superior low light performance (without flash) with the &#8220;Exmor R&#8221; CMOS sensor, multi-shot Backlight Correction High Dynamic Range (HDR) which combines highlight and shadow detail of two separate captures into one remarkably natural looking image.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonyinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/PIA0001001854.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-10588 aligncenter\" title=\"PIA0001001854\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sonyinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/PIA0001001854-700x466.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The TX5 also has\u00a0the ability to take panoramic pictures through the easy sweep panorama mode, and 720P (30fps movie) HD video recording.
