The driver of the vehicle, Carlos Almanza, 28, of 4347 W. Shakespeare Ave. in Chicago was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana. He was also cited for not wearing a seat belt and driving without a valid driver\u2019s license and insurance, the release said.<\/p>\n
The passenger, Tony Brito, also 28, of 1408 N. Harding Ave. in Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, the release said.<\/p>\n
Both men suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Evanston Hospital. They have since been released from the hospital, the release said.<\/p>\n
The family in the home was not injured, the release said.<\/p>\n
The two are set for a preliminary hearing on March 9 at 9 a.m. at the Skokie Courthouse.<\/p>\n
