The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the 2011 Hyundai Sonata its 2010 Top Safety Pick. The 2011 Sonata scored a rating of good in front, side, rollover, and rear tests and standard electronic stability control.<\/p>\n

Hyundai announced yesterday that it will debut a turbo and hybrid variant of the new Sonata at the 2010 New York Auto Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Refresher<\/strong>:\u00a0The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is currently on sale with prices starting at $19,195 for the base GLS model. Power for the 2011 Sonata GLS comes from a 2.4L direct-injected 4-cylinder making 198-hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE starts at $22,595 and is powered by a 2.4L 4-cylinder uprated to 200-hp.<\/p>\n
