Beginning Jan. 7, <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/unleashed\/2010\/01\/yun-zi-giant-panda-cub-debuts-to-public-san-diego-zoo.html\">zoo staff allowed Yun Zi to spend a few hours per day<\/a> in an outdoor exhibit they called &quot;the classroom.&quot;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yun Zi was <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/unleashed\/2009\/08\/san-diego-zoos-giant-panda-bai-yun-gives-birth-to-a-healthy-cub.html\">born in August<\/a> and is the fifth offspring for Bai Yun and father Gao Gao; he has one brother, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegozoo.org\/zoo\/panda_meisheng.html\">Mei Sheng<\/a>, and three sisters, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegozoo.org\/zoo\/panda_huamei.html\">Hua Mei<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegozoo.org\/zoo\/panda_sulin.html\">Su Lin<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegozoo.org\/zoo\/panda_zhenzhen.html\">Zhen Zhen<\/a>.
