This talk resulted from <a href=\"http:\/\/digitalculture-ed.net\/\">a course called Digital Cultures<\/a>,  part of the MsC. in e-learning at the University of Edinburgh, where we  were encouraged to carry out a &#8216;virtual ethnography&#8217; on a community of  our choice.
