\u201cNIGHTLINE\u201d CONTINUES GROWTH TREND: INCREASES +11% AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS AND +16% AMONG A25-54 YEAR TO YEAR <\/o:p><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201cNIGHTLINE\u201d TIES \u201cLETTERMAN\u201d IN A18-49 RATING <\/o:p><\/span><\/h4>\n

ABC News \u201cNightline\u201d placed second among Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49, and Total Viewers for the week of February 8, 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research. \u201cNightline\u201d also tied CBS\u2019 \u201cLate Show with David Letterman\u201d<\/span> in the A18-49 rating (1.2).  <\/span>Additionally, \u201cNightline\u201d continues to experience growth. Among Total Viewers, \u201cNightline\u201d grew for the fourth week in a row. With 4.18 million<\/strong>, the program increased +11% <\/strong>compared to the same week last year<\/span> while NBC\u2019s \u201cTonight Show with Conan O\u2019Brien\u201d in comparison decreased -59%. Week to week, \u201cNightline\u201d increased +3%<\/strong> among Total Viewers. \u201cNightline\u201d is solidly in second place season to date among Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.  <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Among Adults 25-54, \u201cNightline\u201d grew for the third straight week and posted its best demo delivery since November 2008. Averaging <\/span>1.89<\/span><\/strong> million <\/strong>(1.5 rating)<\/span>, \u201cNightline\u201d increased +16%<\/span><\/strong> compared to the same week last year, while <\/span>\u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d declined -44%.  <\/span>Week to week,  <\/span>\u201cNightline\u201d increased +6%<\/strong> among A25-54 and +9%<\/strong> among A18-49.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>\u201cNightline\u201d outperformed \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d thirty-three of the last thirty-four weeks among Total Viewers. Season to date,  <\/span>\u201cNightline\u201d has outperformed \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d among A25-54 seventeen times.  <\/span>For the week, \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d dropped to its lowest total viewer delivery since at least the 91\/92 season. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, \u201cNightline\u201d featured a profile on the outlaw at the center of America\u2019s longest running stand-off, an update on the Somer Thompson investigation, and continued coverage of the massive snowstorms that impacted much of the country.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
