{"id":339978,"date":"2010-02-19T14:28:05","date_gmt":"2010-02-19T19:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"2253"},"modified":"2010-02-19T14:28:05","modified_gmt":"2010-02-19T19:28:05","slug":"cbc-switches-to-rent-over-production-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/339978","title":{"rendered":"CBC switches to &#8216;Rent&#8217; over production rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P><SPAN class=heading3>Published Feb. 19, 2010<\/SPAN><BR>By Tri-City Herald staff<\/P><P>Columbia Basin College had to switch its outdoor summer showcase musical production from <EM>Fiddler on the Roof<\/EM> to <EM>Rent<\/EM> because of problems with obtaining the rights to the musical, said Ginny Quinley, CBC&#8217;s drama director.<\/P><P>&#8220;We found out that our rights had been pulled for Fiddler by a touring company that wanted exclusive rights in Washington state,&#8221; Quinley said. &#8220;So, we have changed to Rent and moved the production inside.&#8221;<\/P><P>Performance dates for Rent are July 23, 24, 29-31, Aug. 5-7.
