{"id":340105,"date":"2010-02-19T13:19:31","date_gmt":"2010-02-19T18:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f20\/heart-organization-keeps-getting-wrong-39675\/"},"modified":"2010-02-19T13:19:31","modified_gmt":"2010-02-19T18:19:31","slug":"heart-organization-keeps-getting-it-wrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/340105","title":{"rendered":"Heart organization keeps getting it wrong"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Heart organization keeps getting it wrong <\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a &quot;simple&quot; way to get fatter and sicker faster than ever, then the American Heart Association has a plan for you. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s called &quot;Life&#8217;s Simple 7.&quot; Aside from the name, there&#8217;s nothing new here &#8212; it&#8217;s just a repackaging of the same tired poppycock I&#8217;ve been fighting for decades. <\/p>\n<p>Four of these simpletons&#8217; steps are just dead wrong: <\/p>\n<p>Step #1: Peck on a low-fat diet.<br \/>\nStep #2: Panic over your cholesterol levels.<br \/>\nStep #3: Exercise your way to misery.<br \/>\nStep #4: Quit smoking.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got a one-step plan for them: Ignore steps 1-4. The only thing simple about their steps is how simply wrong they are. <\/p>\n<p>But really, what&#8217;d you expect? This is an organization that rakes in millions every year from Big Pharma and the major food manufacturers. If you think that kind of money doesn&#8217;t talk, then you&#8217;re just not listening. <\/p>\n<p>These are the same drug lords who sell meds to control blood pressure and cholesterol levels. And these are the food barons that make and sell the low-fat junk that leads to disastrous diets, obesity, and heart problems &#8212; followed by prescriptions for those medications. <\/p>\n<p>It all comes full circle &#8212; and the circle forms around the AHA. <\/p>\n<p>The clowns who run the AHA have been filling the airwaves and news columns with variations on this same bad advice for generations now. They&#8217;ve been so wrong for so long that they no longer have a choice &#8212; turning around now would cause the entire organization to crumble. <\/p>\n<p>I say let it. <\/p>\n<p>Enough&#8217;s enough &#8212; if they were right, we should be the healthiest nation on earth by now. Everywhere you turn you see hamsters running on treadmills and supermarkets full of low-fat foods. <\/p>\n<p>Are we any better off? HECK NO! <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s one way to get healthy and stay healthy, and it&#8217;s far simpler than any &quot;Simple 7.&quot; Eat a diet rich in animal fats and proteins. Forget lean meats &#8212; you want the fatty cuts that would make an AHA board member faint. <\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t be afraid to fry &#8217;em, either &#8212; just use healthy fats and oils: pig fat or real butter are fine, but you can also use peanut, coconut or palm oil. Don&#8217;t worry about your cholesterol levels, don&#8217;t be afraid to smoke a good cigar and &#8212; whatever you do &#8212; don&#8217;t exercise. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s just about the worst thing you could do to you body, especially your heart.
