Republican congressman Mike Pence (R-IN) took the stage and proudly called the GOP, “The party of no… No to some health care summit that is nothing more than a photo-op.”<\/p>\n
Later Pence, the number three Republican in the House of Representatives, told Fox News, “no decision has been made,” on whether House Republicans will attend the administration’s planned bipartisan healthcare summit at Blairhouse next Thursday.<\/p>\n
GOP officials say they need more information, and so far have gotten almost none.<\/p>\n
Senior House Republicans tell FOX they have three basic questions;<\/p>\n
What is the format?<\/p>\n
What is the venue? “Is this one of those deals where he’ll be up at the podium and we’ll be sitting in plastic chairs?”<\/p>\n
And “Most importantly, will the Democrats swear off reconciliation, or is this a trap?”<\/p>\n
\u00a0Without the “right answers” House Republicans sound increasingly skeptical about participating.<\/p>\n
