Rotterdam-based firm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanbergenkolpa.nl\/en\/\">Van Bergen Kolpa Architects<\/a> are trying to reduce emissions related to transportation of food items by designing a supermarket, where all food items are cultivated onsite.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/02\/20\/park-supermarket_2_BJbgn_69.jpg\" alt=\"park supermarket_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Dubbed the Park Supermarket, the development will serve as a park with the green areas used for cultivating and harvesting food items. To be developed at the Metropolitant parks of the Randstad, various departments in the supermarket will have a dedicated area of 1 hectare, where the department can grow food items. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/02\/20\/park-supermarket_3_cHS6Q_69.jpg\" alt=\"park supermarket_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The supermarket will have departments for rice, fish, meat, fruits, vegetables and more.
