{"id":343269,"date":"2010-02-20T12:20:07","date_gmt":"2010-02-20T17:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f24\/president-obama-signs-maryland-disaster-declaration-39741\/"},"modified":"2010-02-20T12:20:07","modified_gmt":"2010-02-20T17:20:07","slug":"president-obama-signs-maryland-disaster-declaration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/343269","title":{"rendered":"President Obama Signs Maryland Disaster Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>02.19.10 05:23 PM<\/p>\n<p>The President today declared a major disaster exists in the State of Maryland and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the area struck by a severe winter storm and snowstorm during the period of December 18-20, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Federal funding is available to State and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency protective measures in the counties of Baltimore, Caroline, Cecil, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, and Queen Anne&amp;rsquo;s.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, assistance is available to the State and eligible local governments on a cost-sharing basis for emergency protective measures, including snow assistance, for a continuous 48-hour period during or proximate to the incident period.<\/p>\n<p>W.
