{"id":343381,"date":"2010-02-20T12:45:13","date_gmt":"2010-02-20T17:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/press-releases\/orland-park-bank-seized-by-fdic"},"modified":"2010-02-20T12:45:13","modified_gmt":"2010-02-20T17:45:13","slug":"orland-park-bank-seized-by-fdic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/343381","title":{"rendered":"Orland Park bank seized by FDIC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><h3><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAn Orland Park-based savings bank was among four banks seized Friday by federal regulators, boosting to 20 the number of U.S. bank failures this year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nGeorge Washington Savings Bank had four branches and about $412.8 million in assets and $397 million in deposits, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFirstMerit Bank NA, of Akron, Ohio, agreed to take over deposits at George Washington Savings Bank. <span id=\"more-20710\"><\/span>FirstMerit is also taking over essentially all the assets.
