\nScott Snedden, 10, of Princeville was awarded the fastest-car title Saturday. <\/p>\n
\nFor Snedden, the race was exciting. He built his car from scratch by cutting a block of wood, setting the wheels and axles, and painting and designing it with stickers. <\/p>\n
\nFor his mother, Theresa Snedden, the race is about having fun.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThis is his final year in scouting,\u2019\u2019 she said, \u201cso this (the award) makes it special.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnother Boyce Council district, Wotamalo, held its race Saturday in Pekin. The Wotamalo District consists of Cub Scouts in Logan, Mason, Tazewell and Woodford counties.<\/p>\n
