These grim figures have forced industrial designers to think of concepts that are energy-efficient and can purify water in a simple way. Industrial designer Olivia Blechschmidt is up to the task with a concept water sterilization unit called the STER UV.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/02\/22\/ster-uv_2_dP4gD_69.jpg\" alt=\"ster uv_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The concept has been designed for fast, simple, compact and intuitive water purification to ensure a clean and healthy kitchen environment. The design features a thin and lightweight UV light stir along with an induction charger. The stir can purify water directly in a glass or pitcher and doesn\u2019t require replacement batteries.
