Huang wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seattle-area tech giants Amazon and Microsoft <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/presspass\/press\/2010\/feb10\/02-22MSAmazonPR.mspx\">have signed<\/a> a patent cross-license agreement that gives each company some access to the other\u2019s patent portfolio, and covers a broad range of technology, including Amazon&#8217;s Kindle e-book reader and its use of Linux-based servers. Financial terms of the deal weren&#8217;t given, but Microsoft says Amazon (NASDAQ: <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=AMZN\">AMZN<\/a>) will pay it an undisclosed amount of money under the agreement.
