Amarok 1.4 was probably one of the best media players for Linux, and arguably one of the best media players around. Amarok 2.0 was a radical departure from its previous versions and was not well received by quite a lot of Amarok users. If you’re one of the folks who feel that Amarok 1.4 should not have been touched upon, well this new ongoing project might interest you.<\/p>\n
David Sansome<\/a> and John McGuire<\/a> have been working on a project<\/a>, which aims to port Amarok 1.4 to Qt4 and rewrite it to make full use of Qt4 features. The project has been christened as “clementine-player”.<\/p>\n The player is still in very much early stages, and the pending features include<\/p>\n \n Clementine for Linux<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Clementine for Mac OS X<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Clementine for Windows<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The project certainly seems interesting and Techie-Buzz will cover it as it progresses.
