The city car can be plugged in to any AC main, allowing the driver to run off electricity alone for an unspecified range.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2009\/09\/07\/let-us-help-you-with-that-lotus-develops-off-the-shelf-range-ex\/\">Lotus Range Extender was originally unveiled<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/category\/frankfurt-auto-show\/\">Frankfurt Motor Show<\/a> last year and if Lotus continues at this clip, we could see the city car on sale within the next three years.
