{"id":352666,"date":"2010-02-23T06:25:04","date_gmt":"2010-02-23T11:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/press-releases\/little-guys-moving-from-glenwood-to-mokena"},"modified":"2010-02-23T06:25:04","modified_gmt":"2010-02-23T11:25:04","slug":"little-guys-moving-from-glenwood-to-mokena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/352666","title":{"rendered":"Little Guys moving from Glenwood to Mokena"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><h3><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Little Guys Home Electronics store is bidding goodbye to Glenwood and making the move to Mokena, Mokena officials confirmed Monday night. <\/p>\n<p>The electronics shop plans to move into the Hickory Creek shopping center near LaGrange Road and 191st Street in the next three to four weeks, Mayor Joe Werner said during the village board meeting. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re really excited to have them,&#8221; Werner said. <span id=\"more-20986\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>No one from Little Guys was at the board meeting. <\/p>\n<p>Little Guys will occupy a 10,000-square-foot space in the center that has been vacant since Trendsetters College of Cosmetology moved out years ago. <\/p>\n<p>The village began courting Little Guys last year after hearing that the business&#8217; owners were mulling a move to a different location, Werner said. Although Little Guys had &#8220;a couple of other sites they were seriously considering,&#8221; he said, Mokena officials credit the town&#8217;s easy access to Interstate 80 and lower Will County tax rates with helping to seal the deal. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That location, for a company like theirs &#8230; it&#8217;s a good spot,&#8221; the mayor said. <\/p>\n<p>Little Guys has been in business for 15 years in Glenwood, according to the company&#8217;s Web site.
