{"id":354465,"date":"2010-02-23T16:20:04","date_gmt":"2010-02-23T21:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/press-releases\/court-clerks-employee-sentenced-for-bribe"},"modified":"2010-02-23T16:20:04","modified_gmt":"2010-02-23T21:20:04","slug":"court-clerk%e2%80%99s-employee-sentenced-for-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/354465","title":{"rendered":"Court clerk\u2019s employee sentenced for bribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Cook County court clerk&#8217;s employee was sentenced to three years in prison today after pleading guilty to accepting $15,000 in bribes from a woman attempting to bond her husband out of jail.<\/p>\n<p>Angelo Colon, 48, of Chicago, pleaded guilty to one count of bribery and was sentenced to three years in prison by Judge Lawrence Fox, according to a release from the Cook County state&#8217;s attorney&#8217;s office. Colon was arrested and charged in October 2009 following an investigation.<\/p>\n<p>According to prosecutors, from September 2008 to January 2009, Colon was an employee of the clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, assigned to the clerk&#8217;s office on the fifth floor of the Criminal Courts Administration Building at 2650 S.
