New for 2010 is the availability of the 6.1L HEMI that can be mated with a 5-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud of our drag racing heritage at Mopar and we will continue to support our drag-race customers where they compete,\u201d said Pietro Gorlier, President and Chief Executive Officer &#8211; Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, Chrysler Group LLC. \u201cThe Dodge Challenger Drag Pak program was a success last year, and we\u2019ll be carrying that momentum into our 2010 build.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Based on the 2010 Challenger SRT8 and finished in Stock Eliminator configuration, Mopar engineers took out select production components and systems to reduce weight by almost 1,000 pounds with the help of a\u00a0composite lift-off hood with functional scoop, Dodge Viper-style front seats, polycarbonate door windows, a light-weight cooling module with electric fan, manual rack-and-pinion steering, a special cable-operated deck-lid release, special light-weight front-brake assemblies and special cable-operated throttle linkage and pedal assembly.<\/p>\n<p>The Dodge Challenger Drag Pak is colored in Stone White and is certified for\u00a0NHRA Stock, Super Stock and Comp Eliminator drag racing.
