{"id":357294,"date":"2010-02-24T07:40:11","date_gmt":"2010-02-24T12:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/press-releases\/citations-for-driver-of-megabus-that-killed-pedestrian"},"modified":"2010-02-24T07:40:11","modified_gmt":"2010-02-24T12:40:11","slug":"citations-for-driver-of-megabus-that-killed-pedestrian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/357294","title":{"rendered":"Citations for driver of Megabus that killed pedestrian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CHICAGO (CBS\/STMW) \u2015<\/strong> Citations have been issued against the driver of a Megabus that struck and pinned a man, killing him, Tuesday evening in the West Loop.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe driver, Shervyle Pruitt, 45, of the 1800 block of East 225th Street in Sauk Village, was cited for reckless driving and violating pedestrian right-of-way in a crosswalk.<\/p>\n<p>\nPruitt was driving the private Megabus lines bus west on Adams Street Tuesday evening when, in an attempt to turn south onto Desplaines Street, the driver struck a 63-year-old male pedestrian in the crosswalk, according to a release from police News Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\nEmergency crews responded to the crash and found an adult pinned under a bus, Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said.
