Gov. Pat Quinn’s administration launched a Web site Wednesday asking Illinois residents for their input on how the state should solve its fiscal woes. <\/p>\n

“Today, we’re asking you to weigh in and help us solve the budget crisis,” David Vaught, director of the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget, tells residents in a video presentation. <\/span>“After all, it’s your money and Governor Quinn believes that together we can get Illinois back on track.” <\/p>\n

Illinois is facing a $13 billion shortfall. The governor is expected to offer his plan for the state’s spending blue print next month. <\/p>\n

In the video, Vaught says the state is facing “tough decisions.” He says a solution would likely include a combination of spending cuts, borrowing, help from the federal government and more revenue. <\/p>\n

The site, budget.illinois.gov<\/a>, went live Wednesday afternoon. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
