SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)<\/strong> – California lawmakers are trying to make the Golden State a little cleaner – at least when it comes to foul language.<\/p>\n

\nOn Thursday, the state Assembly is scheduled to vote on a resolution calling for a statewide “Cuss Free Week,” to occur annually during the first week of March. <\/span>If approved by both houses of the Legislature, the resolution would take effect next week.<\/p>\n

\nIt was inspired by a South Pasadena teenager who founded a No Cussing Club at his junior high school in 2007. The movement has earned international attention.<\/p>\n

\nPortantino said his resolution is simply a guideline, a reminder to “act like you’re at your grandma’s house.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
