IEA is asking you to take a moment to let the governor know<\/a> what you\u2019re going through, what students are facing and what kind of effect this crisis has on our state.<\/p>\n

Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge<\/h2>\n

The White House and the Department of Education have announced a new Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge<\/a> competition to have President Obama speak at their graduation.<\/p>\n

The challenge encourages schools to show how they are making great strides in personal responsibility, academic excellence and college readiness.<\/p>\n

Applications must be completed by students and submitted by a high school\u2019s principal using the Commencement Challenge Application Form no later than March 15.<\/p>\n
