{"id":365991,"date":"2010-02-26T10:14:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-26T15:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"e2249889-c78b-43e3-9643-b1d7d4aa587b:400697"},"modified":"2010-02-26T10:14:00","modified_gmt":"2010-02-26T15:14:00","slug":"bombardier-gains-altitude-on-cseries-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/365991","title":{"rendered":"Bombardier gains altitude on CSeries orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.financialpost.com\/markets\/company\/index.html?symbol=BBD.B&amp;id=97053\" >Bombardier Inc.<\/a> said it had picked up a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.financialpost.com\/story.html?id=2615010\" >US$3.06-billion order<\/a> for 40 of its new CSeries aircraft from U.S.-based Republic Airways Holdings Thursday, a move that could get the ball rolling on further contracts from other carriers, a note from CI Capital Markets says.<\/p>\n<p>Scott Rattee with CI called the a &quot;catalyst&quot; for other negotiations involving the CSeries.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We believe this order validates the CSeries as a strong competitor in the single-aisle mainline market,&quot; he said in a note Friday. &quot;We would not be surprised to see additional orders forthcoming in the near future.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Bombardier management has said they are in negotiations with more than 60 carriers, Mr. Rattee said.<\/p>\n<p>The order will reduce some of the risks associated with the project, including whether or not Bombardier can deliver the aircraft on time, he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rattee has raised his target price on Bombardier to $7.50 from $7, while maintaining an Outperform rating on the company.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:erlam@nationalpost.com\">Eric Lam<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/network.nationalpost.com\/NP\/aggbug.aspx?PostID=400697\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bombardier Inc. said it had picked up a US$3.06-billion order for 40 of its new CSeries aircraft from U.S.-based Republic Airways Holdings Thursday, a move that could get the ball rolling on further contracts from other carriers, a note from CI Capital Markets says.
