No financial terms were disclosed. Initiate Systems has raised over $67 million in VC funding, from Apex Venture Partners, First Analysis Group, Sigma Partners, BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners and Paladin Capital Group. It canceled a proposed IPO in 2008. Accenx raised $3 million in Series A funding led by National Healthcare Services.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #888888;\">PRESS RELEASE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Initiate Systems, Inc., a leader in data management solutions for information sharing and improved data quality, has acquired Accenx Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of health information exchange solutions. This acquisition furthers Initiate\u2019s growth strategy and expands its offerings in the healthcare market. The terms of the deal are confidential.<\/p>\n<p>By acquiring Accenx, Initiate expands the breadth and reach of its proven interoperable health solutions enabling a broader set of healthcare stakeholders to connect and share information as market dynamics require greater focus on establishing well integrated healthcare communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe debates over healthcare IT adoption and payment reform have validated that healthcare communities that master information sharing realize improved outcomes at lower costs,\u201d said Bill Conroy, president and CEO, Initiate. \u201cEHR is the buzzword of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, but what electronic health records offer is potential for interoperability.
