Joseph Stack, a software engineer in a long-running feud with the Internal Revenue Service, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.disinfo.com\/2010\/02\/the-manifesto-of-austin-texas-crash-pilot-joseph-andrew-stack\">crashed his small airplane<\/a> into an Austin, Texas, office building that housed nearly 200 IRS workers on Feb. 18, 2010. Stack and a man believed to be an IRS employee were killed in the crash. The Austin attack is just the latest in a long history of protests against the government\u2019s power to tax.
