\nSanchez is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, a Class X felony; four counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a Class 1 felony; and three counts of possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony, a report said. Each Class X charge — the most serious offense Sanchez is charged with — carries a penalty of up to 30 years in prison plus fines.<\/p>\n
\nSanchez was being held at the Kane County jail on Friday night.<\/p>\n
\nSanchez told a judge in Elgin bond court on Friday that he has lived in Elgin with some friends for about four years. He works at a local restaurant and is not a citizen of this country, Sanchez said in court.<\/p>\n
\nSanchez has five previous arrests on drug charges, according to court records.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
