Jackson, Administrator<br \/>\nEnvironmental Protection Agency<br \/>\n1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW<br \/>\nWashington, DC 20460<\/p>\n<p>Dear Administrator Jackson:<\/p>\n<p>We congratulate you on your appointment to EPA Administrator and commend you for your commitment to \u201cscience-based policies and programs, adherence to the rule of law, and overwhelming transparency.\u201d We write today because the United States finds itself at a crossroads where these values are sure to be tested.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce submitted a petition for an on-the-record hearing under the Clean Air Act before the EPA proceeds with its proposed rulemaking on the regulation of greenhouse gases, Proposed Endangerment and Cause or Contribute Findings for Greenhouse Gases Under Section 202(a) of the Clean Air Act, Proposed Rule, 74 Fed.
