With Katie Couric’s 5-year contract with the CBS set to end next year, there’s speculation that the network may be looking to tap Anderson as the next host of CBS Evening News<\/em>. Could such a merger bring an end to Anderson Cooper’s CNN hit, Anderson Cooper 360?<\/p>\n

The New York Times<\/a><\/em> wrote on Monday: “CBS executives, mindful that Katie Couric\u2019s contract expires in a little over a year, have talked to Anderson Cooper of CNN about an anchor job, according to two TV veterans informed of the meeting.”<\/em><\/p>\n
